We are thinking about switching from the iMX 6SoloX to an iMX 6Solo MCU. There was only 1 application that needed the M4 core for FreeRTOS. There is a lot of documentation on running FreeRTOS on the M4 while running Linux on the A9 core. Is it possible to run Linux on cpu0 and FreeRTOS (or another instance of Linux) on cpu1 on an iMX 6Dual(X)? This means we could upgrade a few boards for that specific application while running the rest on a Solo processor.

Best regards,

Jeroen van der Laan

Hello,

Basically it is possible - to run different OS(s) on different cores, using hypervisor,
but we do not have any examples for i.MX6.

Have a great day,

Yuri
