Hello everyone,

We're planning to use display for connecting with SABRE board, but we're looking for another display to use with it. The type of interface we use is LVDS. I've read the datasheet of display the SABRE board used is : http://boundarydevices.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/HSD100PXN1-A00-C11-1.0.pdf

I found the pin assignment on page 13. The pin 4, pin 6 and pin 7 are V_EDID, CLK_EDID and DATA_EDID. but the display we are planning to use, it does't have these pin.

I'd like to know what the pin 4, 6 and 7 is.

Can I connect the another display without pin 4, 6 and 7 ?

and What is the effect if I connect the display without these pin ?

Please help me.

Thank you so much.

Hi Patchara

this particular HannStar lvds LCD has i2c ID data for identification

(similar to hdmi monitors). Not all lvds LCDs has such ID signals and it is

not used in BSP. You can any use suitable lvds LCD without these signals.

Best regards

igor
