RSA crypto H/W in CAAM.

Dear NXP team.

The CAAM H/W module supports that

• Hardware cryptographic accelerators

     • Symmetric: AES-128, AES-256, DES, 3DES, ARC4

     • Hash message digest and HMAC: SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, MD-5

• True and pseudorandom number generator

dose not support Asymmetric crypto H/W like RSA in the CAAM?

Hello,

IMX6 D/Q/S/SDL/SX CAAM does not support asymmetric crypto in HW.

Please use the “Security Reference Manual for i.MX 6Dual, 6Quad, 6Solo, and 6DualLite”

for more details.

  IMX6 UL CAAM, according to preliminary “Security Reference Manual for the i.MX 6UltraLite” provides some

support for public key cryptography.
