RGMII voltage on i.MX8M plus

Hi, due to lack of Gigabit ETH PHYs we have to select VSC8501, which support RGMII in 2.5/3.3V only. i.MX8M plus defines ENET_VCC and NVCC_SAI1_SAI5 1.8/3.3V, but at one place at IMX8MPIEC.pdf we found "1.8 V/3.3 V RMII operation, 1.8 V RGMII operation". Does it mean we can't use PHY with RGMII 3.3V? We used RGMII NVCC_ENET on alder i.MX8M Mini 3.3V  and it worked. Or we have to use level shifters, like SN74AXC8T245/SN74LXC8T245

Hi @peter_gabor,

Is not supported anymore as the operation on 3.3v has certification problems, but its ok to use a level shifter, you can use the SN74AXC8T245 if you want it.

Regards,

Israel.
