We will connect a 125MHz external clock to the ENET_REF_CLK pad.

Does this clock have to be up and running before or after we power-up the i.MX6?

Best regards,

Frank

Hi Frank

clock should be provided to i.MX after its power-up, in general

it is not allowed to provide signals to unpowered processor.

Best regards

igor

Hi Igor,

Thanks for the answer.

Are there any restrictions on before what moment the clock should be up.

Of course it has to be up before actual RGMII communication can start. Is it a problem if it comes up while or after initializing the RGMII interface (while booting the imx)?

Best regards,

Frank
