Hi all,
I want to know some clarification related to "Android Things uses i.mx 7 dual arm architecture".
Q1 : Why google choose/developed Android Things in especially i.mx7 Dual/UltraLite platform why not other platform like i.mx8, i.mx7S, i.mx6Quad, i.mx6Dual and more. Any specific reason to choose i.mx7Dual?
Q2 : Can we get Android Things Development Source code or patches designed for i.mx7Dual platform from any source not pre-built images?
Q3 : From which android AOSP base version like (Ginger Bread or Sandwitch or Kitkat or Lollipop) Android Things Development Source code developed in imx7Dual platform?
Thanks,
M.CHANDRASEKHAR
Hello,
All recommended for Android Things devices, based on i.MX series of NXP,
are third party boards. Therefore it is required to apply to them.
NXP (itself) does not provide Android Things. Please apply to Google.
Have a great day,
Yuri
