Question, i.MX6SX Alpha-blending

Dear team,

I would like to ask about alpha-blending of i.MX6SX.

My customer want to use alpha-blend feature of i.MX6SX.

They saw X-position could be slipped when alpha-blending is set.

The phenomenon occurs on MCIMX6SX-SDB with Yocto 4.1.15_1.1.0.

They set AS_ENABLE bit in LCDIFx_AS_CTRL register into 1 to enable alpha-blending.

They want to override the FB0 and FB1.

If other considerations than setting AS_ENABLE-bit are needed, please let me know.

Thanks,

Miyamoto

from exper team:

"R&D confirmed the information that it's not possible to enable/disable AS/PS layers on the fly and there is no fix for it.

recommend to start the LCDIF with both planes enabled and switch the visibility between them by changing the alpha value. Checking the driver, I see that there is no support for alpha on lcdif framebuffer driver, so there isn't an easy way to test it on our current BSP."
