Hi all
I have a question about UART module in i.MX6SoloX.
I'm confusing the direction and routing of the UART signals based on whether the UART is operating in DCE mode (UARTn_UFCR[DCEDTE]=0) or DTE mode (UARTn_UFCR[DCEDTE]=1).
So I want to clear it.
Here is a UART signals and direction table that is in general and refer from the Figure 65-2 of IMX6SXRM.
The part highlighted in yellow is different from general and refer from the Figure 65-2 of IMX6SXRM.
I think the Figure 65-2 of IMX6SXRM is wrong.
Am I wrong ?
Also I checked P5199 of IMX6DQRM, Table 90 of IMX6DQCEC and a following thread.
https://community.nxp.com/docs/DOC-97509
All of those UART signals direction and route are different.
Please tell me which direction and route are correct.

Hello,
The UART signals TX_DATA, RX_DATA, CTS, RTS on the 6SoloX are mapped on
the external pins in the same manner as for other i.MX6 parts (D/Q). The Figure 65-2
of IMX6SXRM rev.1 is correct.
Have a great day,
Yuri

Hi Yuri
So the P5199 of IMX6DQRM Rev3 is correct.
Is my understanding correct ?

Hello,
> So the P5199 of IMX6DQRM Rev3 is correct.
Yes - it is fully correct for i.MX6 D/Q, and correct regarding
TX_DATA, RX_DATA, CTS, RTS on the 6SoloX.
Regards,
Yuri.
Hi Yuri
I've still confused about connection of i.MX6SX.
Please let me confirm once again.
I made a material which is figure that I think the correct.
According to the section 65.4.3 IMX6SXRM (Rev. 1, 6/2016), UART Module Signal's directions are fixed in either mode.
Furthermore according to the Table 65-2 of IMX6SXRM (Rev. 1, 6/2016), the external signals's direction are both input and output.
If the table 65-2's directions are correct, the attached document which I made is correct.
Could you check the attached document and reply whether the connection is correct or not ?
