Hello,

According to IMX 8M Nano EVK,

QSPI NOR flash is connected to i.MX 8M Nano.

What is the QSPI NOR flash for? Is it only one option of boot mode?

And Is it OK to remove it from the I.MX 8M Nano board if we don't use it?

Thank you,

Andy

It's the external memory, you can boot up from the QSPI Nor flash, but not the only way. The boot ROM supports these boot devices:
• Serial NOR Flash via FlexSPI
• NAND flash
• SD/MMC
• Serial (SPI) NOR

Yes, you can remove it, if  you do not use.
