Hi
I'm wanting to try using a SATA hard drive with my SabreSD board.
In the reference manual I can see how to set the dip switches to boot from a SATA device, but there is no mention of how to configure uboot to work with a SATA drive. The source code for uboot has no mention of SATA.
Is it possible to build uboot to run from a SATA device, and then boot Linux from the SATA drive? Where can I find some instructions for how to do this?
I have search for other posts, but the relate to boards with i.MX5x chips and the instructions appear to be no use to what I'm trying to acheive.
Kind regards
Andrew
Solved! Go to Solution.
Attached is Uboot document for i.MX6.
And this is for your information about enable sata command in uboot.

Hi Jimmy
Thank you for your reply.
I have followed the steps in the attached document in section 3.4, but when I set thte dip switch for booting from SATA, and turn on the system, nothing is shown in the terminal. I can't find any other steps.
Is there something else I need to do to the SATA drive before I can boot from it?
Andrew
