Hi

I am using I.MX6 Quad for my one of the project and we need to display some graphs on 1080p resoltion 5.5" display over RGB(IPU1) or HDMI along with wifi is only. Can you please let me know how much power will consume by i.mx6 quad during this activity. So that we can figure out our battery requirements. Since Application note AN4509 does not specific use case which match with my requirement so i am not able to get exact power details from  this application note.

Hi Sagar

for estimation of power consumption for displaying 1080p graphs

one can look at case in sect.3.7.1 Graphics Plus Dual 1080p Video Playback AN4509

Unfortunately I am not aware of other data for specific wifi only case.

Best regards
igor

Hi Igor

The problem is Considering 3.7.1. specs is , it is saying -

This use case is running concurrently on three displays:
• Two 1080p video playback: One through HDMI and one through IPU parallel port
• 3D graphics through LVDS port with XGA resolution

But in my case only 1 display is running which is on HDMI or might be in IPU1(RGB-Parrallel). That's why 3.7.1. data i can not consider for my application.

Is there any way to calculate it?

Hi Sagar

>Is there any way to calculate it?

unfortunately not. As raw estimation for one lcd it will be three times less.
