I want to run the QT application binary built with license version of QT5 into IMX6 sabresd. But in yocto project, it says license version QT application will not work with open source license. Is there any way to add license version of QT into yocto build or we have to seperately port the license version QT libraries into BSP

Hello Manoj Kumar,

The Yocto Project is by definition Open Sourced, that's why there is a Community BSP that it's part of the Yocto Project and a separate BSP Release that it's not. In the case of Qt only the Open Source implementation is used but you should be able to integrate your BSP on top of the Yocto Project layers in order to use the licensed constraint features. However, I would recommend you contacting Qt in order to see the extent of the licenses and you will most likely need to use your own implementation and not the Yocto Project files as these are strictly open source only. It is truly more a legal matter rather than a technical one.
