Play video in i.mx6 with mplayer

Hi all,

I would like to utilize the hardware decoder in the i.mx6 to play mp4 video file using mplayer.

May i know what is the command to specific the mplayer to play the video using hardware decoder?

I tried "mplayer video.mp4", and it seems like it's playing the video using software decoder, cause the CPU usage shoot up to 100%.

Please help. Thanks.

Hello,

  The mplayer uses standard software codecs. Hardware options may
be used via gstreamer or gplay, that is based on gstreamer.
