  DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE

Freescale is updating the maskset for the i.MX53; this mask revision improves LDO and SRTC functionality.  Additionally, the i.MX53 product lines are being updated to meet Freescale’s marking standard with the latest maskset. 

The maskset marking on the package will change from: N78C >> 3N78C

The final marking on the device will remain the same as an MC marked device.
The marking indicating the new revision will equal maskset 3N78C.

This revision will fix errata ENGcm12374 and ERR007080 as previously indicated in the latest errata documentation release rev4 currently on Freescale.com.

REASON FOR CHANGE

Freescale is implementing die level improvements in the LDO and SRTC functionality, which will eliminate two related errata. There is an accompanying update to device marking.

ANTICIPATED IMPACT OF PRODUCT CHANGE(FORM, FIT, FUNCTION, OR RELIABILITY)

Other than intended improvements to SRTC and LDO functionality and marking, there are no changes to form, fit, or function.
