I'm working on a project using i.MX6 (on the TinyRex module) and I want to connect this resulting device to a PROFINET network. Is there an already existing PROFINET solution for this platform (like is there a PROFINET stack available on the market ) or do we have to create our own. I know that an ASIC (like TPS-1 or ertec) is a possibility but due to spacial and communication interface constraint a stack seems like an ideal solution.
PROFINET can be implemented on the i.MX6 hardware wise although it’s not supported on NXPs BSPs. You may want to make your implementation or use a third-party stack.
