Hi Team,
We are going to use iMX8M Quad Lite processor in our application. We are going to use 2x same processors in our application. So can we use one common PMIC between 2x processors, if it suffices our current requirement??
What special care should be taken in this scenario??
Please note we have no requirement of GPU in our application.

Hello Sahil Nayak,
It is theoretically possible to use a single PMIC, but consider that both processors would need to power up and down at the same time following the power sequences described on the datasheet (which should be no problem as both are identical), and if you would lose the ability to boot just one, which leads me to the PMIC control signals. You would need to be careful to connect the PMIC so that the PMIC control signals are handled correctly by the PMIC (maybe giving only one of the processors access to this control or including an arbiter circuit).
We do not have an example of an application with this setup, but it should be doable if you fulfill the requirements for both processors so keep that in mind, especially the cores voltages which require more precision.
I hope this helps!
Regards,
Thank you for the information.
