Hello Community
Id like to use 1.8V IO voltage throughout my entire system, including the connection between PF3000/MX7.
To achieve this, supplying 1.8V to the PF3000's VDDIO pin is necessary.
However, im not quite sure if i can take the 1V8 supply from the PF3000 itself or if an external regulator is needed.
VLDO1 is set to 1V8, so is SW2. But i guess these are both disabled if the PMIC was set to standby? So, as a result, the system could not be woken up by the MX7 anymore?
Hi Lars
there are no restrictions for 1.8v usage and one can use external regulator.
Regarding voltages that could be disabled in low power modes, one can look at
Table 14. Power modes i.MX7S Datasheet

Hello Igor,
thanks for your reply but I feel like my questions have not been answered completely.

The question is if i MUST use an external regulator or if the PF3000 can use one of the LDOs to power its own IO domain.

I was interested in the behvaiour of the PF3000, not the MX7. Does the PF3000 disable the LDOs after it received a standby request? Cause in that case, the PF3000 would cut off its IO supply if no external regualtor is used.
Hi Lars
"if the PF3000 can use one of the LDOs to power its own IO domain."
could you clarify this, sorry I could not understand
>I was interested in the behvaiour of the PF3000, not the MX7.
behaviour of PF3000 (when it is used with i.MX7 with linux) is compeltely defined
by i.MX7 requirements defined in datasheet Table 14. Power modes.
Or is your questions is just about standalone PF3000 usage ?
