PF0200 PMIC - Slow battery charge and fast battery drain

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with a imx6sx-sabresd like board. I am using the PF0200 PMIC module to power my board, using an IMX6SX micro.

The problem is that the battery charge time is very slow (about 100mV per day) and the drain time is very fast (about 1mV loss each 5 seconds).

I had to enable the COINCHEN bit in order to charge the battery when the board is powered by an external power supply because it the default settings it wasn't enabled.

I also tried changing the VCOIN bits to raise the charge voltage, changing the SW2 regulator to APS/PFM mode for normal and stanby mode in order to have a more efficient power supply during light loads operation, I even disabled the monotonic counter to have the lowest possible power consumption on the board - without success.

When the external supply is missing, I only need to power the rtc in order to keep the date/time consistent.

Am I missing some steps in configuring the PMIC and/or the micro?

Thanks for your help.

Have you appropriately configured the VSNVS output voltage with the VSNVSCTL[VSNVSVOLT] bits? What is the actual current consumption on the VSNVS power rail? Please check.

Best Regards,

Artur
