PCA9450 pin condition for the CLK_32K_OUT

Hello,

Is the pull-down resistance not necessary to the CLK_32K_OUT pin ?
When there is no CLK output, does it become Hi-Z and cause malfunction due to noise?

Thanks for your help.

Hi yuji_matsunami,

The PMIC can work without problems with the CLK if you do not want to use it, do not leave floating the XTAL_IN terminal tie this to GND, and the XTAL_OUT terminal you can leave floating.

Hope this helps you.

Regards,

Israel.

Dear Israel-san,

sorry, we use CLK_32K_OUT.
When the CLK_32K_OUT is stop, does it become Hi-Z and cause malfunction due to noise?
Is the pull-down/pull-up resistance not necessary to the CLK_32K_OUT pin ?

Hi yuji_matsunami,

In that case, the answer is not, it can work without problems, of course, you can use a resistor to reduce the noise but the PCA has a system itself to reduce this, take a look at the datasheet 7.732 kHz Crystal Oscillator Driver.

Israel.
