Hello, I use the MPV tool to play 720p videos and it can be played smoothly. And the GPU usage is 100%.

When I play the video in full screen, the video is not smooth. I am not sure this tool issue or windows on

arm issue. May I know if Windows on Arm has this problem? If not, what player can I try to play the video

smoothly in full screen.

Hi @hankwang ,

I hope you're doing well!

Can you let me know what i.MX device are you using? And is it a custom board or one of our EVKs?

Thank you.

Best regards,
Hector.

Hey,

I'm using an 8M Plus CPU, which is a custom board. And the DDR is 6G.

I think playing videos is only related to the GPU. The video file is MP4.

Hi @hankwang ,

Thank you for letting me know.

For video playback, the best performance can be achieved by using Movies & TV app from Microsoft Store (the default media player from Microsoft). https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/movies-tv/9WZDNCRFJ3P2

Just double check that you have the correct version of Movie & TV (ARM64) since previous versions were only ARM or x86 which have bad performance on i.MX8M due to them being emulated.

Let me know if this was of any help.

Best regards,
Hector.
