Noise in OV5640 camera with IMX6 custom board

Hi,

I am getting noise/lines in ov5640 camera output on IMX6 based custom board (based on nitrogen6_max board).

I have attached the camera output pic. : Spiky - Free Image Hosting 

I am using Android 4.4.3_2.0.0-ga (Boundry Devices) which is based on Freescale BSP.

Please help me to debug this issue.

Hi Jaimin

if software is the same noise can be from hardware,

please check analog supplies and its noise, sensor cables.

Attach sensor from good board to custom and check if that helps.

Hi,

We have already added filters on Analog and digital supply rails as well as added parallel termination on MIPI signals . But lines are observed on capture.  Total length of MIPI CSI is 5" Inch on flex-rigid PCB.

one can try to test with imx-test (folder mxc_v4l2_test) in

www.nxp.com/lgfiles/NMG/MAD/YOCTO/imx-test-5.4.tar.gz

also one can check signals with oscilloscope and using app note

Hi,

We tested camera output using imx-test (v4l2 test) and found noise in all scenarios except 5 megapixel (2592x1944) resolution output. We are unable to understand reason behind that. Camera test pattern is also fine.

We also checked signals using oscillosope and  found good termination.

Can you please help us more to know which type of noise it is and how to remove that?
