No response on debug console from imx8mm-lpddr4-evk build

I have built the imx8mm-lpddr4-evk multimedia image and I am not receiving anything from the debug console.  I see the two serial ports /dev/ttyUSB[0,1] on my linux host but when I open with minicom and set up as instructed there is no response from the board.  I do see the led on the board flashing when I hit enter on the host.

Is there anything else I need to do to have serial debug console working?

Hello,

Have you tried with both serial ports?
One of them is for the debug of Cortex-A while the other for the Cortex-M

Indeed,  /dev/ttyUSB1 is responsive.  What's up with the other?
