Hi eveyone,

I'm trying to configure u-boot in order to enable display on my IMX6 SABRE SD.

Screen is a HannStar LVDS : 1024x768 i.e. LDB-XGA, RGB666

I've tried tons of u-boot config, with no success.

I've an SD Card already configured with an Android r13.4, and the screen works well with this boot.

For information, when my Ubuntu has finished starting, I type 'echo 0 > /sys/class/graphics/fbX/blank' and 4 or 5 penguin is displayed (normally displayed when booting) instead of Ubuntu GUI

Here is my u-boot config :

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MX6Q SABRESD U-Boot > printenv

baudrate=115200

ipaddr=192.168.1.103

naive question: are you connecting the LVDS into LVDS0 (the one between the MIC connector and the USB OTG)? LVDS0 is the default for linux.

I don't know, i'll check this tomorrow.

Any other idea ?

My mentor found the solution 3 month ago but he forgot the solution.

So it can works.

No, LVDS screen is connected into LVDS1.

(I already tested video=mxcfb1:dev=ldb... video=mxcfb0:off ...)

Yes i'm booting Linux.

LVDS1 is written on the board, close to the port where the screen is plugged.

This is the original configuration, i've made no modification.

try adding the following to your bootargs:

fbmem=10M vmalloc=400M no_console_suspend

Thanks, but Leonardo already found the solution.

As he said, LVDS0 is the default port for Linux and screen was plugged on LVDS1.

Hence, when I plug on LVDS0 it works.

If someone wants to play with LVDS1, you have to add this option to the kernel command line : ldb=dul0

Try this in your u-boot config:
