Need to switch from kernel.5.10 to above version kernel.6.x in hardknott branch for imx8qxpmek

Hi Team,

Greeting to all !

We have a requirement where we have to upgrade kernel on top of existing kernel.5.10 ,we need to upgrade to above it
5.15 or most probably 6.x [ Switch ]

So please could you help us on recipe modifications and steps for it for hardknott branch .

I have doubts here
#1 . Since we are using hardknott branch that has default 5.10 so cant we upgrade the kernel version above 5.10 by updating the recipe ?
#2.  Above mentioned repo link is for latest nanbield , but all our features are exists in hardknott , just our requirement is upgrade from 5.10 to above

So could you please help me with above two queries

Yes, you could change/modify the recipe file(.bb) of the linux-imx for the kernel upgrade.

What we recommended is the BSP that we have done the sanity check and verified. This is the kernel 6.x with the latest nanbield.

Why not use this:

repo init -u https://github.com/nxp-imx/imx-manifest -b imx-linux-nanbield -m imx-6.6.3-1.0.0.xml
