I’ve been a bit confused on how display timing is documented. It seems inconsistent to myself. And, so, I was hoping you could clarify if there really is a discrepancy in my understanding or in the docs. As the NXP SDK seems to be looking for Horiz. Back Porch values that I cannot simply read right off an LCD datasheet.
For example, I see some places, such as this NXP doc, that the Hsync Pulse Width and H Back Porch are to be considered separate and added together:
However, in LCD datasheets I see Hsync Pulse Width is to be considered as fitting within the H Back Porch timing:
