Greetings,
On a custom hardware we are planning to add a NAND Flash on the PCB. When choosing the NAND Flash to work with i.MX6, what are
the recomended width and voltage of the NAND Flash. I am looking at Micron products. Is there an upper limit for the size of the flash regarding the
comemrcially available chips.
Regards,
Mete

Q. What are the recomended width and voltage of the NAND Flash.
A. i.MX6Q can support both 3.3V and 1.8V NAND Flash parts, so, there is no difference here. Typically, 8-bit wide NAND Flash parts are used, since 16-bit wide ones are not widespread on the market, and they are not supported by i.MX6Q.
Q. Is there an upper limit for the size of the flash regarding the comemrcially available chips.
A. There is no memory size limitation from the i.MX6Q GPMI NAND Flash controller point of view.
Have a great day,
Artur
