I'm taking an existing design that was implemented with a dual ARM IMX6U5DVM and evaluating if we can do a cost reduction by changing the MCU to the single core pin for pin part IMX6S5DVM. The existing code needs to be re-used with as little intervention as possible. Will a recompile of the existing code targeting the single core MCU be sufficient? My concern is that the reduction of the DDR memory from 64 bits to 32 bits has the potential to cause problems with existing code.
Hi,
Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products,
You would change the device tree and u-boot, they share the rootfs and the kernel image.
