Hello,

We are going to replace our obsolete SPI-NOR boot device with a new. Although the new device is quad SPI-NOR, it supports legacy SPI communication. The new device is from Micron MT25QL128ABA1W9-0SIT and its command set (basic read, write, erase.. etc operations) is backward compatible with the old SPI-NOR we used. Addressing is 3 bytes as required in i.MX6Q RM. I dont see any problems to upgrade to this device. Do you have any recommendations or anything else i should pay attention for replacing the obsolete part.

Thanks in advance..
