MX7 - Direct access to Cortex M4

Hello everyone,

as I have designed neither USB OTG1 nor an SD card slot into my hardware I cannot boot the MX7D based system with linux it seems.

To test some of the peripherals before doing a hardware redesign Id like to access the M4 on the board and do some memory writes and confirm that NAND/eMMC/RAM are working as intended. Is this possible?
I got access to KEIL. What kind of emulator would I need?

Regards,
Lars

Hi Lars

for direct access to M4 one can use jtag, may be used AN5229

ARM DS-5 Development Studio Debug

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN5229.pdf

for keil usually used ulink

ULINK Debug Adapters

Best regards
igor
