Hi Folks,
I'm using i.mx8qxpmek and 4.9.51 Distro, I've connected MIPI DSI to HDMI converter having adv7535.
Now my query is its does not seem to have any audio connection provision on i.mx8qxpmek , so i pulled out SPDIF_TX from processor to ADV7535 (MIPI DSI to HDMI Conv.)'s SPDIF/I2S pin.
SCLK/MCLK and LRCLK are connected with GND at ADV7535 side as from ADV7535 data sheet it says master clock can be ignored.
I've used fsl-imx8mq-evk-dual-display.dts to start HDMI and it works fine with video but how can i get audio working with the above mentioned hardware connection.
I've also gone through AN12188 Rev. 0 , but did not get any clue related to audio.
Requested to en-light me on this.
Thanks & Regards,
Rutvij
Hi Rutvij
for i.MX8QXP MEK should be used Linux L4.9.88 for i.MX 8QuadXPlus Beta2 as described on
Alpha / Beta BSPs for Microprocessors|NXP
Support for HDMI audio is described in Release Notes for that package:
Documentation
https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/supporting-information/imx-yocto-L4.9.88_2.2.0-8qxp_beta2.tar.gz
also on fsl-imx8qxp-mek.dts spdif pins are used as enet :
https://source.codeaurora.org/external/imx/linux-imx/tree/arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/fsl-imx8qxp-...
Seems this support will be added in future linux release.
Best regards
igor

Hi, Thanks for the reply.
For HDMI(direct) its okay, i've tested audio even and it worked like charm.
But my query is related to MIPI-DSI TO HDMI Converter using bridgr chip adv7735.
