MIMXRT106ADVL6B / MIMXRT1064DVL6B

Hello, 

I had build a board wich include MIMXRT1064DVL6A. After burning BT_FUSE_SEL to '1' (have not the boot pin) with NXP-MCUBootUtility bu USB, I succeed in programming the IMXR1064 in the flash (BOOT_MODE not connected).      

On new PCB board, the designer put by mistake another reference MIMXRT106ADVL6B instead of MIMXRT1064DVL6A.

I did not succeed  to program my board with the106A. 

My questions are

1) What is difference between MIMXRT1064DVL6A and MIMXRT1064DVL6B?

2) Can I program MIMXRT106ADVL6B (internal flash), I have not external flash and no possibility to put it?

I succeed in burnning  BT_FUSE_SEL to '1', by connected to LSPI NOR/EEPROM first but not programming with the106A.

Is there the only possibility to put MIMXRT1064DVL6A or MIMXRT1064DVL6B to make it work.

Thank you for your answers.  I succeed in finding MIMXRT1064CVL6B components. I replace the MIMXRT106ADVL6B by MIMXRT1064CVL6B. I can now program in flash. 

Can I use MCUXpressoIDE_11.1 and sdk SDK_2_7_0_EVK-MIMXRT1064 with MIMXRT1064CVL6B?

These IDE and sdk versions are compliants with MIMXRT1064DVL6 version A. 

Or should I use the last IDE and SDK for MIMXRT1064CVL6 version B .

 MIMXRT106ADVL6B and MIMXRT1064DVL6A are not the same, MIMXRT1064DVL6A have internal flash, but MIMXRT106ADVL6B don't have the internal flash, you need to add the external flash chip, do you add it or not?

If not, you can't use it, you just can run it in the internal RAM, then you can use the code to burn the fuse, but boot from external flash is not possiable if you don't add external flash. More detail, you can refer to the MIMXRT1060-EVK board, or SLN-ALEXA-IOT board.

Unfortunately, I can not add external flash with this design. I understand that the only solution is to replace the 106A by the 1064.Because  I need to boot on my program code.

But it is very difficult to find MIMXRT1064DVL6.

Question, 

What is the difference between MIMXRT1064DVL6 version A and version B?

Hi @lacouturepatric ,

  RT106A can't replace the RT1064, as it don't have internal flash.

  About the version A and version B difference:

It is the different silicon version, I suggest you use B version, as it is based on A version, and fix some bugs.
