I'm currently using i.MX 7Dual for a design. The requirement specifies industrial grade components. My question is MCIMX7D5EVM10SD a direct substitute for MCIMX7D5EVM10SC. The confusion is due to the comparison table in the Buy/Parameter section of NXP which defines MCIMX7D5EVM10SD as Heterogeneous Processing with dual Arm® Cortex®. Can I used it instead of MCIMX7D5EVM10SC? Thanks
Hello Talents Titus,
The MCIMX7D5EVM10SD (Silicon Revision 1.3) is a direct replacement for the MCIMX7D5EVM10SC (Silicon Revision 1.2). You can see the part number nomenclature on Figure 1 of the i.MX7D Datasheet (link below)
https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/IMX7DCEC.pdf
Al i.M7 processors are heterogeneous because of the addition of a smaller Cortex-M4 core in ad
dition to the main Cortex-A7 core(s). My apologies for the confusion from the description on the comparison table.
Regards,
Thanks so much for the help.
