for CPU upgrade, what changes are needed to the software?

I hope you are doing well

Both part number has the below differences.

MCIMX6Y2CVM05AB: 528 MHz, industrial grade for general purpose

MCIMX6Y2CVM08AB: 792 MHz, industrial grade for general purpose

According to the values written in the SPEED_GRADING[1:0] fuses, the frequency will be selected from the U-boot as mentioned in soc.c file.

Hence No software changes are required.

The fuse SPEED_GRADING[1:0] can be referred from the Table 5-9. Fusemap Descriptions from the reference manual IMX6ULLRM.

For MCIMX6Y2CVM08AB, How to set SPEED_GRADING[1:0] to 800M? PROD/SW I don't know how to process it.
