Hi Sir:

Our design has the system performance issue during high temperature, our BOSS would like to explore replacing the current part MCIMX6X4CVM08AC (industrial version -40C – 105C) with MCIMX6X4AVM08AC (automotive version).  A few questions:

  1. What is the critical point of the automotive version?
  2. What is the passive/throttling point of the automotive version?
  3. Is the automotive version pin and software compatible?  Any changes required?
  4. Does the automotive version have GPU inside?
  5. Are these two parts pin-to-pin? Does any design change need to consider?

PS: the attached file is the compare result from NXP website.

Thanks!

Samuel

The two chip the most difference is the temperature, and others you can see in the excel you attach. The questions you ask above, here I give you reply one by one:

1\The application scenarios are different.

2\ I am not sure, I will confirm it.

3\Software compatible.

4\The i.MX6SX support GPU

5\Yes, pin to pin, hardware design reference here
