What happens if Boot device (e.g. NOR flash) is not programmed with program image for boot mode set to "Internal Boot" and serial downloader interface is also not available? Can IMX6 still be accessed through JTAG interface to run DDR test and can JTAG interface be used to program the Boot device (NOR flash) through it?
In my design we are using only NOR flash as booting device and boot mode is set to boot from NOR flash and if NOR flash is empty then will imx6 will stall in boot ROM and allow us to connect to target through JTAG?
In this case, it will set secondary image persistent bit and perform SW reset. If device is in serial download, it can't support JTAG detection. Since SDP is not enable will go to SW reset.
