Dear community,

we are experiencing something as follow:

tthe system is trying to get the IP address from the router through dhcp during bootup

we got the following:

Sending discover...

PHY: 0:00 - Link is Up - 100/Full

Sending discover...

PHY: 0:00 - Link is Down

Sending discover...

PHY: 0:00 - Link is Up - 100/Full

Resetting PHY

No lease, failing

after that, we asked to eth0 to up and get IP, it works perfectly ( we can ping like 1 hr without any problem)

it just couldn't get the IP when bootup

In 50 pcs of our prototype, around 15pcs couldn't get the IP at bootup

Anyone can point me to some direction where to look at?

Hi Roy

recommended to use latest FSL BSP on link below with all patches on bottom that page,

one can try attached patch

L2.6.35 10.12 FEC0 PATCH (REV 2010.12.01)

Linux patch for i.MX28 SDK 2010.12 to fix the ethernet FEC0 conection problem on i.MX28 EVK
