KITPFGUI 4.1 User Guide?

Is there a user guide available for the 4.1 rev of the pf programming gui? Specifically I am trying to find documentation that describes the function of the Pseg parameter for the programmable buck supplies in the MMPF0100.

Hi michael bazarov,

Our applications and documentation teams are working on an updated User Guide compatible with the KITPFGUI4.x and the latest version of the Evaluation board, this document will be uploaded to Freescale.com when ready.

Meanwhile, you can use the KITPFSWUG4 as a reference.

Now, answering to your question, PSEG comes from “Power Segment” (or PWRSTG as called in the datasheet).

Please check “Programmable Maximum Current” on page 40 of the datasheet for more details about it.

This is basically a programmable current limiter for the buck regulators.

If you set the Pseg to 100% on the “SW1AB FUCNTIONAL” tab, you will limit the current to 2.5A,

if you set Pseg to 80%, you will limit the current to 2.0A,

if you set Pseg to 60%, you will limit the current to 1.5A and

if you set Pseg to 40%, you will limit the current to 1.0A

Hi Weidog,

The document you mentioned above is the user guide of the first version of the programmer board with the Rev.3.0 of the PFGUI which are no longer recommended, customer can use the can use the KITPFSWUG4 as a reference until the new document is released.

An in case that customer is using the programmer board, they should be using Rev.B of the board, and use the KITPFPGMEVME Rev B Programmer User Guide document as the correct reference.
