Hi All,
We are facing a strange issue with our device where we use i.mx8x revC silicon.
With the same schematics the device was booting without any issue etc when we were using the RevB version of the silicon but with this new RevC silicon we are facing few issues with booting up a RevC Silicon.
The issue we see is that some time device takes minutes to start booting the bootloader itself. Is there any known issues with revC silicon version? We went through the erratta document but didn't find any conclusive evidence
Hi Igor,
Unfortunately I don't have any MEK for C0 silicon as of now. We have set of units that actually boots up and works fine with C0 silicon, but then there few other units that doesn't come up or sometime take too much time to start the bootloader, when probing the SD Signals we see that there is no interference or so as such and both the waveforms looks same.
FYI, I am using SCFW 1.3.2 , SECO 2.5.4, BSP 2.3.0
Hi anantha_r
I am not aware of "BSP 2.3.0", please try latest Linux 5.4.24_2.1.0 release
described on :
Use software components (like SECO, SCFW) versions exactly as described in i.MX Linux Release Notes
and rebuild all image from scratch. Do not mix any "B0" software with "C0".
Best regards
igor
Hi igor,
Pardon me for not providing full info
We are using Android 9 with Uboot at L4.14.98.2.0.0 with patches for the C0 silicon revision from this following doc
https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN12770.pdf
So I think I don't need to be using the 5.4.1 or so as per this document. If not, please update the document as it might be providing a wrong information to the users
Hi anantha_r
suggest to try latest android releases:
