I've searched the forums a bit and tried to put together information on updating uboot over OTA updates but it seems the information is a bit outdated. The last real information where it's discussed is from 2014 and deals with Android JellyBean. I'm not finding any information on it in the Android docs.
Has this been solved and I'm just missing how to do it or is just nobody updating Android past the version they originally install in production?
We currently build our OTA updates with the build release tools as described in the Android Users Guide. They work fine but uboot isn't updated. Moving from 10_1.0.0 sources to 10_2.3.0 sources, the uboot has changed and the old uboot won't boot the new kernel.
