Hi community,
Our customer have a question about MMPF0100.
Please see chapter 6.4.4.2.3 in MMPF0100 datasheet.
They want to know whether some specification of buck regulator is changed when change the current configuration SWx_PWRSTG[2:0].
For example, set SW2_PWRSTG[2:0] from 2.0A to 0.75A when the load current is 200mA.
In this case, is some specification (efficiency, duty, etc...) change?
Best Regards,
Satoshi Shimoda
Solved! Go to Solution.
The setting of the SWx_PWRSTG[2:0] bits just change the number of FETs working in parallel to drive the inductor. In the case you describe (SW2 is set for 0.75A max. load whereas the actual load current is 200mA) no changes in efficiency or other SW2 parameters will occur.
Have a great day,
Artur
