Is it possible to use kernel 3.14 with Android Jelly Bean?

Due to poor decoding/rendering performance in Android Lollipop our customer has requested that we revert to Jelly Bean.  We've done a fair amount of kernel work in Lollipop that would need to be ported back to Jelly Bean which leads me to the question - is it possible to use kernel version 3.14 with Jelly Bean?

Hi Sheldon

seems this is possible, however one will have to port software,

also gpu drivers provided by nxp with Jelly Bean (L3.0.35) are not compatible

with kernel version 3.14. So with kernel version 3.14 one will have to

use gpu drivers provided with Lollipop.
