Is JTAG required to flash images on imx8 custom board

Dear NXP,

we are developing a custom board based on i.MX 8MQuad application processor, for images flashing on board uuu tool or mfg tool is enough jtag is not needed.

as per my understanding jtag used only when on board debugging is required.

you are right jtag is not needed for  flashing images, it is

used for debugging.

Thank you for your help igorpadykov, As i am planning to use i.MX 8M Nano custom board, could you please suggest me which are JTAGs are good to debug i.MX 8M Nano custom board.

Is Segger J-Link doesn't support IMX8m.Nano ?

As SEGGER is not supporting IMX8m.Nano  for debugging now could you please suggest other one.
