Hi NXP,

I have a custom board with imx6solo /imx6dl(single core). I rebuilt the kernel and bootloader but Android 9 cannot boot up, it stuck at

[ 4.716117] galcore: clk_get vg clock failed, disable vg!
[ 4.722212] Galcore version 6.2.4.190076

The same build of the Android is workable in imx6q(2 cores).

Please help, is imx6solo work is workable for Android 9 or not ?

Thank You in advance.

Best Regards,

Pun

Yes,it support. i.MX Android P9.0.0_2.2.0-ga release includes all necessary
code, documents, and tools to assist users in building and running the
Android 9.0 platform on the i.MX 6Quad, i.MX6QuadPlus, i.MX 6Dual, i.MX
6DualLite, i.MX 6Solo, i.MX6SoloX, i.MX 7Dual, and i.MX7ULP hardware
board from scratch.

Does customer finishing porting for the i.MX6Solo board? And use this images on i.MX6Q?i.MX6Q is 4 core, I think you mean the i.MX6DL works, am I right?

Have a nice day

Hi @Rita_Wang ,

The part number of the chip is MCIMX6SE5EVM10AD(Rev 1.3), so this is a imx6solo or it is imx6dl(single core) ? The reason is for iomux, I need to use the one for imx6dl, otherwise it will not work. This is also in the  IMX6SDLRM.pdf.

I have been using imx6dl configuration for the same board with kernel 4.9.11 with Debian for more than 2 years.

Could you please confirm for this chip with part number MCIMX6SE5EVM10AD, which one I should use as I enconter the iomux registers for imx6sl and imx6dl is not the same. I am guessing imx6sl is for older one but imx6dl cover dual core and single core(imx6 solo) ?

Please help me to look into the dmesg attached why kernel stuck at

[ 4.712134] galcore: clk_get vg clock failed, disable vg!
[ 4.717551] tws: get_power_imx6(), clk_axi=0
[ 4.722147] tws: _GetPower(), ret=0
[ 4.726012] Galcore version 6.2.4.190076

I think this is gpu.

As you are using the MCIMX6S5EVM10AD , so you can refer to the i.MX6DL design not the i.MX6SL. For device tree use the i.MX6DL one. The i.MX6SL is another product. The design i.MX6S is most the same with i.MX6DL.
