Inrush current of i.MX6DL

Hi chip expert,

We plan to use i.MX6DL for dedicated audio which targeted low power.
So we estimated small power budget but inrush current seems not so few. See *1

How much inrush current typically assumed for i.MX6DL-Sabre-SD board?

Is there any PMIC setting to reduce peak inrush current?

Thanks.

This seems to be the initial power-on current peak when the main power supply is just connected, caused by some massive bypass capacitors charging or something like that. It should not occur on always-powered applications.

Have a great day,

Artur

Dear Artur,

Thank you for replying.

Do you know something how to reduce peak inrush current such as slow Vdd lamp up?

Because if peak current saved less than 2A, we can replace 4A supply to more cheaper 2A one.

Thanks.
