Inquiry Regarding Compatibility and Migration Guide for I.MX 8M Plus Parts

Hello there,

We are currently in the process of designing a product based on the consumer-grade I.MX 8M Plus part MIMX8ML8DVNLZAB. During our research, we came across an industrial-grade variant, MIMX8ML8CVNKZAB, which differs only in operating temperature and frequency.

Could you please confirm that both the parts are drop-in replacement, (Can be used with-out any changes in schematics),

Since we planned to proceed with a same board for both the parts (one part at a time).If there is any difference please share us with the migration guide,

As you said, the processors are Pin to Pin compatible and the differences are the A53 core Speed, the temperature and CAN.
