I'm using an imx8m plus and I would like to connect it to codecs/dsp. I'm considering using sai2. on the datasheet it is reported that the "sai2" has 4 tx and 4 rx lines, but it is not clear the maximum number of channels that can be placed in each line (tmd8 / tdm16?). Specifically I would like to use the tdm8 to have 8 channels for each line (4rx +4tx) and therefore have 32 input channels and 32 total output channels or take advantage of the tdm16 and use only 2tx + 2rx lines to always have 32 input channels and b32 channels of output. it's possible? what are the differences with the sai1 other than the number of data lines?
