Hi,

We are using i.MX6 processor in our design.

As per the application requirement we need to perform DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis).

What is the processor functionality if any pins of the following opens.

What is the processor functionality if H14 opens?

Wha is the processor functionality if K9 pin opens?

What is the processor functionality if H16 pin opens?

What is the processor functionality if H9 pin opens?

What is the processor functionality if G11 pin opens?

What is the processor functionality if A13 pin opens?

What is the processor functionality if R18 pin opens?

Kindly provide the information.

Hello Murali,

please see attachment which was abstracted from IMX6DQRM.pdf( Reference Manual of I.MX6DQ) ! You can't leave those pins open(floating), because they will be use to supply internal module of i.MX6.

Hi Weidong,

Thanks for your support. I referred the reference manual.

I will elaborate the question as below:

VDDARM_IN is connected to pads of H14,J14K14,L14,M14.

If any one of the pin is not connected to Supply due to dry soldering then which functionality will be effected.

Kindly clarify.

Thanks & Regards

Hello Murali,

If you don't supply ADDARM_IN with 1.2V~1.5V(normally 1.375V), ARM core(core1~4) can't work. From diagram in reference maual, this voltage is for ARM core.

I don't know what happened about your board, but this voltage is very important, so you should re-solder correponding part if it is possible.

Weidong
