I am using two i.MX 6 processors on one board.  The first i.MX6 will be use two LVDS display outputs from the LDB.  The first LVDS will go to an actual display.  The second LVDS will go to the second i.MX6 processor so it can know the content being displayed.  What would be the best interface to use on the second I.MX6 as an input?  I was thinking MIPI but was not sure if this would be the best way.  Thanks for any response in advance!

Hi,

If you have HDMI port free on first board then you can go for hdmi-2-csi2 converter using TFP401.

You are right : the i.MX6 MIPI CSI might be good solution

to get data from LVDS (of other i.MX6). Please pay attention,

  1. i.MX6 contains MIPI CSI-2 compliant Camera Sensor. And

it will be needed a converter LVDS-to-MIPI_CSI-2.  Alas, I cannot find

proper converter in I-net.

Also You may try to use parallel camera interface CSI of the

IPU with a special converter, similar to one, linked below.
