Hi,

I use an IMX8QXPMEK board with a Linux distribution 4.14.98_2.0.0_ga produced with Yocto (fsl-image-qt5-validation-imx). I have also a MIPI-DSI OLED display.

However, when I connect the IMX8QXP and the display, I'm not able to see something on the screen. I use the device tree fsl-imx8qxp-mek-dsi-rm67191.dtb. Moreover, the Linux doesn't start until the command line...

Have you seen the same problem and do you have a solution ?

Thank you in advance for your help,

Clement

Hi Joan Xie,

I tested the demo image of the archive L4.14.98_2.0.0_ga_images_MX8QXPMEK.zip and I saw the same problem..

I have not tested with an upgrade version for the moment.

did you use "Image-imx8qxpmek.bin" and “Image-fsl-imx8qxp-mek-dsi-rm67191.dtb”? if you use default image, could you see anything from hdmi? I tested on my board with 4.14.78 demo image successfully, how did you download your image to your board, if you use uuu tools, send your script to me, let me double check if you download the image to your board correctly

could you send me the uboot environment? double check if you connect the correct port(connected to the MIPI-DSI connector) and tighten the mini-SAS cable, and check if you use the correct daughter-board, and sent the log file to me

Hi Joan Xie,

Thanks for your fast answer. I send you the uboot environment and log file.

I used the port DSI0/LVDS0 and the connection between the IMX8QXPMEK + MIPI-DSI OLED display is good.

refer to your log file, it seems the board doesn't enable mipi dsi, this is my log file when I tested 4.14.78

do you mind testing demo image first? try to use image named "Image-imx8qxpmek.bin" and dtb file named “Image-fsl-imx8qxp-mek-dsi-rm67191.dtb”
