Why does NVK_ENET_2V5 of EVK provide current from VDDIO_REG of AR8031? Can the power supply capacity of AR8031 meet the requirements? Are there any other power-on timing requirements? Our product wants to use the VGEN6 of MC34PF4210 to power NVCC_ENET_2V5. Is this feasible?

Hi,

NVCC_ENET_2V5 can be provided from VDDIO_REG of AR8031 as NVCC_ENET_2V5 is just an IO voltage for IO pin. And it consumes very little current.

As per iMX8M power sequence, all NVCC (including Enet) rails must be powered up at seq 6. The VGEN6 LDO in PMIC is at power seq 7. The PMIC VGEN6 voltage in all OTP configurations is 2.8V which needs to reduce to 2.5V for AR8031. Instead, AR8031 supports the internal regulator to support 2.5V.
